This single-light window was fitted into the East elevation of the Chapel of St. Edmund King & Martyr. The design is based on the life and works of Dorothy Burton who was highly active in the church for 40 years. A staunch Christian, Sunday School teacher, Organist and flower arranger with a sense of fun, she was well loved, and those who knew her felt she was well-deserving of commemoration and should be held as a good example of faith, involvement and dedication to life in and outside the Church. The design reflects many of these aspects of her life that run in tandem with the cycle of Christian worship, starting with Easter and moving through Harvest Festival, Remembrance Sunday on to Christmas. The flowers and colours associated with these festivals are woven together with threads of the musical score she would have played so often, and with which the congregation would be so familiar.
